Reemay Floating Row Covers
A rugged 1 mil. 0.5 oz. per yard lightweight material by Dupont is designed to hold in heat while allowing light and water through to the crop. Also retards insect attacks, will not rot, shrink or sag in wet periods. Best for areas where there is average sunlight and relatively rapid warming. May be used for pumpkins, squash, melons, cucumbers and vine vegetables, seedbed and root crops such as lettuce, carrots, radishes. REEMAY is excellent for extending the harvest season into late Fall, or for an early start in the Spring. Our Holland’s Land O’ Giants 2007 DVD demonstrates covering an entire giant pumpkin plant in the Fall while maintaining a 2-foot air space between the plant and the REEMAY. We had an excellent late season growth using this method, resulting in our 1,384-pound giant pumpkin.
